Overview

DIY is so far from my skillset that I need binoculars to catch sight of it in the distance. But Detective Inspector John Bean, aka the man of my dreams, knows what he's doing, at least to the extent of watching a video and buying the right tools. Our plan was to re-tile the bathroom and kitchen of John's little house with something that didn't give me a migraine to look at. Whoever had applied the original tiles must have had a strong stomach and a fondness for chessboards-at an angle. They would have been perfectly acceptable tiles if not arranged in a diagonal checkerboard pattern. We started in the bathroom.
