Sam
Even with Eli safe at last, Sam is finding it hard to relax. Their enemy remains a very real threat, but Sam finds himself more concerned with the possible consequences of his own actions. As they plot to overthrow the gang once and for all, Sam can’t help but be distracted by his uncertainty over whether Eli will be able forgive him. Nor can he ignore the nagging feeling that he doesn’t deserve forgiveness in the first place.

Eli
Relieved to be reunited with Sam and the rest of the Flower Shop, Eli can’t help but feel guilty for taking time to recover while Napoleon and his gang still pose a threat to the city. It doesn’t help that one of the officers they are supposed to be cooperating with keeps flirting with Sam, either. Tormented by a surge of protectiveness overshadowed by guilt, Eli can only hope he’s making the right choices for himself and everyone else.
