Isaac Morrow has always been different. A paladin without a moral compass of his own, his bloodlust lives on a short leash held by his commander. He relies on the word of his superiors to guide him, and he’s never been allowed to question them. It’s the only life he’s ever known.

When he’s captured by the Sentinels, he suddenly finds himself thrust into a world of unknowns. There’s no one to tell him right from wrong while he’s held captive—just a handsome demon named Shadrach who speaks to the darkness he’s always been forced to deny.

Shadrach doesn’t want to fall for a human, even if it’s been foretold, but Isaac isn’t like anyone he’s ever met. There’s a darkness in Isaac’s soul that matches his own, and Shadrach longs for more. He wants to help Isaac break the guild’s chains and show him that they belong together, but Isaac fears the guild more than anything.

As Shadrach uncovers more about Isaac’s past, he learns how insidious the guild’s current leaders truly are. Enemies are closing in from all sides when Lilith, the leader of the halfling demons, puts out a bounty on an ally’s head. Will Isaac choose Shadrach and the darkness they share, or will he let the guild turn him into another enemy they’re meant to fight?
