Overview

Azraai Yusoff is a first-year business student and a gorgeous model with a loyal fan club. He is also gay, though he doesn’t necessarily advertise it. He has several innocent encounters with Jacen Quan Zhe Xin, a first-year Mass Communication student who’s as tall and (almost) as good-looking as he is. When Azraai helps Jacen with a modeling gig for their university, this encounter sparks a tentative friendship. As their friendship grows, Azraai finds that he has feelings for Jacen and is jealous of Jacen’s girlfriend. Azraai’s world is sheltered, though he’s not aware of it. Jacen also has feelings toward Azraai, but his reality is much harsher. The boys will have to navigate their feelings and social expectations to make their relationship work to have a future together. WAYWARD ARROWS is about receiving the love that we deserve, regardless of our sexuality, which is easier said than done in a conservative Muslim country like Malaysia, and during the uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
