Overview

I’m in love with you. It started in February. Feelings intensified during quarantine. Your voice is what separates the days that will become memories from the ones that will remain mere numbers of 2020. I like looking at you, I like your stories. I like when your mind wonders. I like your acid sense of humor and when I get to contradict your morbid comments. I like the way you portray everyday life and when you use the civil code to fall asleep. I like how you hate the world and love the universe. I like when you ask my opinion on your photographs. I like the pictures you take. I like your midnight epiphanies and when you tell me a secret. Only you can see the beauty of a well-written contract. I laugh when you play sommelier and say we have to harmonize wine with the color of the sky. I like the shape of your mouth. I like the taste of your mouth. I like the name of your playlists and when you say we’ll make pizzas with the tomatoes you’re growing in your garden when all of this is over. I like when you include me in your future. It’s absurd for this to flourish amongst chaos, but if there is love amidst disease, then there is also cure your, Ariel". Virgínia is a love story set in the midwest of Brazil, a four part novella about falling in love during a pandemic, where two women, Virgínia and Ariel, try and navigate the turmoil of their feelings for each other.
