Overview

Veronica Williamson is a disaffected high-school senior who seemingly has the perfect life. She has financially well-off parents. She is pretty. To top it off, she is also a cheer-leader - the very top of the social hierarchy of high-school. This apparently perfect existence is disrupted by a sudden move to a new town. Veronica is indifferent to what usually would have been a life-changing event. As wonderful as her life would have seemed from the outside. She has always felt as a type of impostor - as if the life she was leading was not one that she wanted. She wanted a chance to reinvent herself but doesn't know what it is that she wants to reinvent.

In this lack of self-identity, walks in Anna Dreyer a vivacious young woman who is full of life. Veronica feels drawn to Anna in a way that she hasn't experienced before. The two become fast friends as Anna introduces Veronica to her friends and shows her around town. But as the two keep growing closer, will their relationship only end in a friendship? Or is there something deeper just beneath the surface?

In the second part of the series, Veronica and Anna's budding friendship takes a turn as Veronica starts hanging out with another girl, Melanie. Anna doesn't know why but she gets an uncomfortably feeling whenever the thought of Melanie and Veronica hanging out together comes to her mind. As things progress, both Veronica and Anna have difficult decisions to make that will affect the rest of their lives. Will they finally acknowledge their true feelings?
