Celia is an Astor, golden child of the family that funds the decrepit, floundering town of Thistlespokes. Shani is a Feinberg, daughter of the woman who abandoned that town the moment a better offer came along. For the past seven summers, Shani has invaded Thistlespokes for weeks on end, and Celia has been determined to hate her.

Unfortunately, Shani is impossible not to love. After five years of worn-down rivalry and two years of excruciating, crush-concealing friendship, Celia’s once-dream is finally coming true. Shani won’t be coming back next summer.
