Being a single dad isn't a cake walk, but trying to raise a teenage werewolf on your own is a recipe for disaster. Reese Belmont just wants to open his bakery and get his niece, Beth, through middle school in one piece. And it looks like he might do just that. But when Beth starts shifting for the first time just before Christmas break, all the painful things that Reese has tried to bury in the past show up on his doorstep in the form of his handsome ex (and the alpha of the pack that rejected him), Wade Abernathy. Reese never wanted to see Wade or the pack again, and has spent the last ten years as a stray wolf because of it. But it turns out he might not have a choice, when it appears Beth needs her pack and Wade reveals that he is Reese’s mate. A painful past and an uncertain future collide and Reese must decide if he can let go of one in order to chase the other, or if he will run from both.
