" At the age of six Theo had learned that normal children did, in fact, not kill their pet goldfishes for fun. Sadness hadn't been brought up within him, hadn't even occurred to him, until his mother walked in and asked him if he was okay. He didn't cry when he flushed the fish down the toilet drain." ______________________________________________________________________ Theo is a ten-year-old boy with a penchant for seeing and interacting with ghosts. His best friends are all dead and he likes them that way. His neighbor is a murderous teenager on some kind of Freudian vengeance. Their small town unwittingly harbors more than its share of psychopaths and Theo sets out to become a murderer before he is murdered himself.
