Overview

Raynin is supposed to be in her final year at the academy. Instead, she’s been sent to the Aarga with her mentor to fight a mysterious illness that’s tearing through the population. No one, not even the court’s best healers, can figure it out. Long shifts. No sleep. No answers. The bodies are piling up.

As if that's not enough, strange dreams have begun to plague her— white hair, burning sand, a truth hovering in the fringes of her consciousness. When she bumps into a handsome southern stranger at a bar, she's at her wits end. There's something about the man that sets her on edge. She doesn't think, she she pulls a knife on him.

Meanwhile, in the Blackwoods, Theia and the others are regrouping. Healing. Strategizing.
