One year after the events of “The Calling”, the Collins twins are settling into the changes in their lives. Ceridwen and Patrick are now married and trying to figure out the best time to bring a new heir into the pack. Meanwhile, Darcy and Tamsin are planning a wedding as well as their future. With everything going so well, Ceri decides the time is right to start working on her dream project. Enlisting help from Tamsin, they begin working on a cure for vampirism. They keep their work secret, even from their mates as they know their significant others would never allow them to work on such a project. They soon find out that keeping their work a secret isn’t so easy. Especially with overly cautious alphas and growing suspicious from an old acquaintance. The doctors’ good intentions might just put the pack, as well as the entire supernatural community, in great danger.
