Overview

Sorceress Seraphina Ravenscroft has a talent. Not for elegant spellcasting or profound magical theory, oh no. Her true gift lies in stumbling headfirst into catastrophic mishaps, turning esteemed professors into amphibians, and generally leaving a trail of well-intentioned chaos in her wake.

So, when a royal summons whisks her away to the neighboring kingdom of Eteria to solve a matter of “state importance” (which turns out to involve a king who’s more canine than crowned), Seraphina is in her element. Armed with her dubious magical skills and a rapidly dwindling (possibly sabotaged) supply of mana potions, she’s ready to save the day... or at least try not to make things significantly worse.

But Eteria holds more surprises than just a bark-happy monarch. There’s a haughty, violet-obsessed princess whose particular and rather unsettling interest in Seraphina throws our chaotic sorceress completely off balance; a conspiracy that stinks worse than month-old troll socks; and a mysterious magical affliction causing Eteria’s female romantic compasses to spin wildly, often pointing—well, towards other compasses of the same make.

Can this clumsy sorceress untangle the Eterian mess, restore the king, avoid becoming a permanent fixture in the royal dungeon—or the princess’s boudoir (not that the latter is necessarily a punishment), and perhaps even figure out what to do with these strange new feelings bubbling up for a certain violet-eyed royal? Get ready for a hilariously bumpy ride filled with magical mishaps, royal intrigue, and a romance as unpredictable as Seraphina’s spells.
