"Halt, Megan!" Skye's voice chased after me, tinged with urgency. Despite hearing the desperation in her tone, I couldn't force myself to look back. How did I end up in this situation? Falling in love with the sister of my closest friend seemed utterly complicated. "I told you to stop!" Her voice intensified, accompanied by a gentle tug on my arm.
