It started out innocently enough...

It's been almost thirty-six years since I last saw Duffy Shelby, and the man I notice is no longer that kid.

No longer my best friend, my only friend, but now he's larger than life, still full of that fun that always made me feel safe and accepted at school but there's an intensity about him that makes him so alluring that I fall into an obsession embarrassingly quickly.

I guess it's a good thing he's clearly not the innocent type—after following him for only two days I'm sure he works for the mob.

But Duffy is so much more than that, I can tell.

After all, no one knows him like I know him.
