I left Gomillion right after high school, and in the twenty years since, I barely went back. I'd hated that place, and it hated me just as much. Leaving was the best thing I ever did, but when I got that reunion invite, I decided to go back.

Then I saw my old tutor again. Justin caught my attention back in high school, and he captured it again now.

But the reunion's only for one weekend, and letting roots grow back in Gomillion was never part of my plan.

Gomillion has always been home to me. I was the class president. I work at city hall. I was even in charge of planning the reunion for Gomillion High's inaugural graduating class. My class. I loved the consistency of my small town, a place where things didn't change a lot.

But then Sam came to the reunion and changed everything for me. After a few hours, I know that one weekend with him could never be enough.
