Sage Alderwood only had one goal at the Decennial Ritual: arrive on time. Instead, she barrels in late, dripping with sweat, glitter spilling everywhere, and her doom-obsessed raven familiar picking fights with strangers. Not exactly the impression she hoped to make.

Enter Calla Morwen—tall, composed, terrifyingly gorgeous, and everything Sage is not. Calla has spent years clawing her way toward a coveted seat on the witching council, and she isn’t about to let one sunshine-mess witch ruin her chances.

When Poe the raven decides to perch on Calla’s shoulder—an unmistakable sign of a familiar bond—the entire town assumes they’re a couple. Correcting the rumor would only make it worse for Calla’s career… which is how Sage finds herself fake-dating the most infuriatingly attractive witch she’s ever met.

One room at the inn. Festival dances under lantern light. Sparks (literal and magical) every time they touch. And Poe, smug in Sage’s head, narrating their inevitable downfall like it’s the world’s most dramatic obituary.

But as the ritual approaches, the line between fake and real starts to blur, and Sage has to wonder: what happens when the fake bond feels a little too true?
