Overview

Mycroft Grey is an ex-battlemage working to build his investigative business, going about his rather lonely life and trying not to miss his old comrades who were supposed to be there with them. When his nemesis breaks out of prison, Mycroft doesn’t have a choice but to accept help from the same friends who once abandoned him. Even Hunter, the one whose absence hurt the most.

With danger stalking him, Mycroft will have to decide if he can let his old friends back in to help, or if he’s going remain alone.

Hunter Poole is a shifter mage, cursed with the change when he was still a schoolboy. After a long, hard war, he withdrew from the magical community, with only the woods and the moon for company. When he gets word his old friend and comrade is in trouble, he can no longer stay away.

Especially for Mycroft, the one who was the hardest to leave.
