"You want your Eggplant-love, yes?" said Nuthatch, voice very low. It sounded like his voice had descended to his groin. It came from someplace deep and smoldering now, with no play in it.

Efir nodded. He didn't think his throat was capable of speech.

"We are five in number," said the orc. He held up five fingers, counting them off in silence. Eggplant. Nuthatch. Fistful. Two others, unnamed. "But in love… only one."

He lowered his five fingers to Efir's belly. Efir shuddered at the touch.

Nuthatch did not tease any more.

Nobleman turned scapegoat soldier, cursed to grow to a shocking size and weight, Efir's world has been upturned by his meeting and immediate infatuation with the orc he calls Eggplant. After a scalding physical encounter, he knows there is no turning back from their mutual obsession. He is besotted and that is that.
