Nicky is a walking catastrophe—chronically late, perpetually broke, and about to flunk out of college. His life has just hit rock bottom when he suddenly collides with a desperate woman and lands employment at Artichaut, a brand-new French bistro. Under the sharp eye of Ronan, the demanding sous chef who seems to take personal offense at Nicky's very existence, he begins to find his place in the chaotic, beautiful world of professional cooking. The kitchen becomes his sanctuary—a place where burned fingers and sharp knives teach him more about himself than any college course ever could.

But just as Nicky starts to believe he might have found his calling, his heart decides to complicate everything by falling for the one person who's completely Ronan. Because apparently, when you're already a disaster, why not add some catastrophically misplaced feelings to the mix
