Criminal psychologist, Boomer Bailey, can profile the mind of a twisted serial killer but can’t seem to reconcile his own inner demons. When investigating a gruesome massacre in the city of New Orleans, he discovers a lone survivor, Toby, with no memory of the event. Complicating everything is Boomer’s rising attraction to Toby, a seemingly innocent man who may be hiding a dark secret.

While protecting Toby from mysterious assailants, Boomer is thrust into an underworld of mythical horrors and bewildering realities where he must match wits with a foe unlike any he’s ever faced. Criminals can be profiled, but what of something less than human? If he can’t outthink his enemy, everyone he loves, and perhaps all of humanity, is doomed.
