Twenty year old Janelle will be faced with this very life altering scenario. Raised in an ultra conservative Christian family, and staring down the altar of her father’s up and coming mega church, the decision to flee her nearly arranged wedding ceremony leads her to her own place of solace: Grandma Meredith’s house. A home of love, forgiveness, and acceptance. It is here that Janelle is finally able to find her true self. No man, no religion to determine her future.

Her journey will take an unexpected turn, befriending and soon falling for an unlikely beau. Sporting blonde and pink hair, she is much different than anyone ever expected to be by her side. Surrounded by new friends and immersing herself in the LGBT community, she discovers acceptance and growth among a group of people that she had been raised to hate solely on who they choose to love.

The path to finding her true self will not be easy, filled with bumpy roads and chance encounters from her past. Navigating every twist and turn with the right people, her life will always circle back to her safe place. Her haven. A place of acceptance.
