The Sanctuary app appears in the market offering discreet lunch-break encounters among married individuals chasing either the lustful sex they no longer find at home, or a jolt of risk and adventure to ignite their spirits. An ambitious psychiatrist sees an opportunity to gain fame conducting a clandestine study of the app, and uses herself as bait in an experiment that will generate wonders and tragedy.
