Thanks to her preferred work schedule, Kasey’s all but given up on making friends. Or finding a girlfriend. Instead she loses herself in sapphic romance novels as a way of escaping the reality of her lonely life. It’s easier to put on a mask of indifference and pretend she’s completely happy with her current situation than actually having to face it. Even when her world feels like it’s getting flipped upside down.

But when her gossip-loving coworker starts ranting about the latest, and potentially queer, new hire, Kasey hopes her luck might finally be about to change. Maybe this can be her chance at her own Happily Ever After.

All Sam wants is a fresh start. After leaving behind an extremely toxic job and all of the longtime “friends” they’d made there, they have no interest in making the same mistake twice. Their Dungeons and Dragons players are close enough, they don’t need any real friends.

Well… Unless you count all of the headmates that they share their brain, and body, with. But they’re not really Sam’s friends, they’re family.

Like Lita, whose temper and trust issues usually do a pretty good job of scaring people away. Even when she isn’t trying to.

And Leksa, whose love of books is the only thing that keeps the ghosts of her “former life” at bay. Her fictional memories may not all be “real”, but that doesn’t make them any less painful.

Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder isn’t exactly easy though. And all three of them have already accepted that it’s pointless trying to form relationships when everyone they meet not-so-secretly thinks they’re crazy. Especially not as their true selves.

But now, Their new coworker seems to be relentlessly trying to become friends with Them. Will she be worth the risk? Or will Kasey end up treating Them just like everyone else has when she learns Their secret?
