Fast forward seven years, and I get revenge on the tennis courts of our local club. Stronger and sportier Dane should dominate me, the indie kid with black eyeliner. But our win record is exactly fifty-fifty. We’re just as competitive in our angry locker room hookups. Dane still isn’t out, but he can’t keep his hands off me… at least in secret.

As Christmas approaches, Dane starts to get more tender. He saves me when I fall from a treadmill while dressed as an elf (don’t ask). He takes care of me while I'm injured. Before I know what's happening, we're snuggling up together watching Christmas movies. Will the holiday season thaw our hearts? Or is he still too caught up in what people think to ever claim me in public?
