Overview

A summer of prose, cons, and lesbians.

Bailey Clark has her whole life planned out for her. Graduate law school early, get married to a successful man, have 2.5 kids and a home with a picket white fence. It’s not the life she wanted, but it’s the path her parents expect her to take. She certainly wasn’t looking for a love match at her cousins wedding, but when a creep from her past bothers her at the reception, her knight in shining armour stepped in- or doe eyed queer in satin?

Enter Shay Foster. Brides childhood best friend, nomad, and notably has an anxious attachment style. When she steps in to rescue Bailey, they escape into a side room that ends up being a janitors closet. A closet that now has a broken lock, trapping them together for the remainder of the wedding.

The two spend the evening making the best of the situation and get to know each other, neither of them expecting to feel the searing connection that they do. When they finally escape, they can’t bear to part ways so they agree to meet up again. One thing leads to another and with both realizing they have the summer off of work, they decide to embark on a road trip across their home province. Bailey wants to be spontaneous for the first time in her life, while Shay agrees that she could use the practice of a healthy relationship.

It’s fine though because their feelings for each other are not real and their relationship is just practice…right?

Modern lesbian romance.

Standalone, HEA, No cheating.
