Every morning, I wake up knowing the part I have to play and exactly who everyone expects me to be.

I’m Jamie, the Captain.

People see me as a role model, someone who stands for strength, determination, integrity, and loyalty.

To them, I’m an idol.

They think nothing can touch me.

But at night, when I’m home, and the spotlight fades, I don’t feel like an idol at all.

When I’m alone, I’m just me.

But what if someone truly sees through me? What if they don’t fall for the act? What if they’re craving something deeper than anyone else has ever asked for?

Do I let them bring back what has long been lost, even if it means facing the end? Or do I hide, hoping they won't dig deep enough to uncover every piece of who I used to be?
