Twenty-one-year-old Jamie is in for a rude awakening. What starts as a romantic Christmas getaway to Big Bear, California with his boyfriend, Daddy Tom, quickly devolves into a snow-covered nightmare. They've driven all the way from Brentwood, and Daddy Tom even promised Jamie a new jacket from a small boutique. But when Daddy Tom disappears after making a phone call, Jamie is left stranded, his phone dead and his pockets empty.

As the snowstorm rages, Jamie waits, the chill seeping into his bones, until the store lights finally dim. Alone and without a jacket, he stumbles into the biting wind, eventually collapsing by the side of the road, tears freezing on his cheeks. Just as hope dwindles, a red truck pulls up, and a mysterious stranger offers a lifeline, driving Jamie to his cabin. But who is this man, and what will become of Jamie in the desolate, snow-covered mountains?
