Twelve years ago, Keisha Owens was on the edge of glory at the state youth championships when a blindside hit from Olivia Kennedy put her in the hospital and changed her life. Keisha has learned how to walk and skate again, but she’s given up on her dreams of professional hockey.

Olivia plays for the Portland Blossoms, an expansion team in last place in the standings and in desperate need of a spark to save their season. When Keisha gets a call from the Blossoms’ general manager, offering her a chance, she turns him down. Twice. But Keisha can’t ignore the opportunity to finally live her dreams, even if it means playing on the same team as the woman whose dirty hit ended them a dozen years ago, so she calls him back and says yes.

Keisha and Olivia may hate each other off the ice, but they can’t deny their chemistry on it. Will their inevitable explosion blow the Blossoms apart? Or will it shatter the walls between the two old rivals?
