Yeah, yeah, I know. I was a hot mess, but this time I really meant well. It just didn’t quite turn out that way and now I found myself arrested and tossed in jail while Sal was in Colorado at a conference. He wasn’t here to rescue me this time. I was going to have to figure this out on my own…I was so doomed.

A desperate call in the middle of the night shook the very foundation of my life. Lany had been arrested at a known drug house and was now missing. The hours that ticked by as I flew back home on the first flight I could book were agonizing. Arriving home wasn’t much better. Lany had been found, but he was neck deep in trouble as usual. Only this time, we couldn’t figure out where the threat was coming from. If we couldn’t figure it out, Lany might not be the only one that was in danger. Trouble seemed to be coming for all of us and I wasn’t sure I could stop it this time.
