LAPD Captain Elizabeth Murphy and Stella Carter have known each other from when Lawyer Stalla worked with Murphy’s department. It seemed there was some friction between the two women from the very start, mainly coming from Stalla’s side. For some reason she just doesn't like Liz.
Stella wasn’t working with the department when she met and married her late husband, who still worked with LAPD as an officer. When he was killed Stella’s life fell apart. She couldn’t work, sleep, or eat. Well, she did eat lots of junk food. Unknown to her the family back home in Tennessee when they saw how Stella was struggling it was decided her niece Addie would move with her aunt in California. Little did anyone know Addie’s main reason , besides her aunt needing someone, was to work on her Vlog without her parents knowing.
Little did Stella know that Addie, after meeting Liz at uncle Ron’s funeral, continued texting with her. Long story short, Liz and Stella have some unresolved issues to deal with. One being Stella’s crushing on Liz and Liz crushing on Stella.
Very enjoyable read with lots of little twists and turns making this a thoroughly enjoyable read.
