A Gaynor Beach Father's Day short story.

Ever since Hugh and Oscar took me in, I've been a Very Good Boy, even as I grew from an abandoned puppy to 123 pounds. (We won't mention the episode with the shoes, and the hair and drool aren't my fault. My thick, black furry coat is my glory, and the little kids love to snuggle up to me.)

Today's a special day, I think. I'm not sure. I hear the words "Father’s Day" a lot, but with Hugh and Oscar and Scott and Anthony, there are always a lot of fathers around. Whatever we're celebrating, I'm just happy to spend time in the sun with all the children around me. And maybe snacks. I'm on my best behavior, as all the people I love enjoy being together.
