Held Note is a short prequel to First Watch, set in the moment before everything changes. Violet Frequency is already under pressure—threats circling, control tightening, and systems working overtime to keep the lights on. Rune feels the weight of being protected without being seen. Griffin hasn’t arrived yet, but the space is already waiting for him. This is the breath held before vigilance becomes personal—and before choice becomes unavoidable.
