Heat can be sold but love is earned.
In
a world where heats are sold for profit, Adrien is a university student
in need of funding. With no family to fall back on, he reluctantly
allows the university's matcher to offer his first heat for auction
online. Anxious, but aware this is the reality of life for his kind,
Adrien hopes whoever wins will be good to him.
Heath—a wealthy,
older man—buys Adrien’s heat with an ulterior motive. When their
undeniable passion shocks him, Heath begins to fall for the young man.
Adrien doesn't know what to make of the mysterious stranger he's
spending his first heat with, but he’s soon swept away and surrenders to
Heath entirely.
Later, Heath secrets him away to his immense and
secluded home where Heath grows to love Adrien. Unaware of Heath's
history, Adrien begins to fall as well. As their love blossoms, the
shadows of the past loom.
Can Heath keep his new love once Adrien discovers his secrets?
Heat for Sale is a stand-alone m/m erotic romance by Leta Blake. Infused with a du Maurier Rebecca-style secret, it features a well-realized fictional universe, an age-gap, and scorching hot scenes.
I liked it but i dont think id read it again. The smut was good but overall i felt like there was a disconnect between the MC and ML. I didnt like tje inner thoughts of the ML and how he constantly compared the MC to his ex lover (the MCs dead father). I like stories where the MC finds out a secrete the ML is holding that pertains to the MC but i couldnt stand this one for some reason. I also hate how the world protrays omegas and how the ML seemed to agree with it on some level or at least put no thought into figuring out why some omegas was 'freedom'.
Honestly im getting tired of omegaverse stories where the omega is lower than the alpha, has no say in their life or education. I hate those types of story lines. Its basically women in reality having to fight (and are still fighting) for equality. When i read a book i dont want reality mixing with fiction.
