When psychic Alistair Hooke comes to Salem to perform a live group reading, he’s exposed as a fraud, bringing his entire life crashing down around him. Down but not out, he’s determined to rebuild his tattered reputation. Alistair needs help contacting his ancestor, Amity Wellington, who was hanged during the infamous Salem Witch Trials. Enter Cope, who agrees to find and speak to Amity. He's the only one who can because, spoiler alert… Alistair really is a con man.

Jude, still recovering from his accident, isn’t keen on Cope helping Alistair, until he’s told he will be able to return to work early. Bored and sick of sitting on the sidelines, he enlists the help of the cold case team who agree to look into the psychic’s tainted past.

Alistair’s motives in speaking to Amity are far from pure. He’s got skeletons in his closet, some of them possibly belonging to his ex-wives and needs Amity’s spells to help get revenge against the people who wronged him, and anyone else who gets in his way.

Will Alistair’s ghost hunt work in his favor, or will he be the one caught in his own trap?
