Two men afraid to take a step to get what they want enter into an arrangement – fake boyfriends with real dates for practice.

Leland Copeland has been intrigued by Atticus Weber since the first time he saw the man come to Martin's Books & Bakery. They have only had brief interactions yet from those, he’s captivated by the conundrum that is Atticus Weber. When the opportunity arises to help Atticus out, he jumps at the chance and volunteers to be his fake boyfriend. But he has the stipulation of having real dates so they can make sure their fake boyfriend is authentic.

Atticus knows giving in to his unusual fascination with Leland will only lead to an inevitable end. He’s determined to ignore the idea that Leland could be forever his fake.
