Providing for a family living on the reservations and running the family business in town is always hard. I’m always tired and trying to split myself between both places. While living in my small town brings me so much happiness, I long for my family to return to the town they raised me and my siblings in. My brother’s disappearance has a lot to do with it. His disappearance is known throughout the whole town so when our new sheriff shows up and helps me through yet another year of his absence, she invokes strong feelings. Feelings I tried to ignore for most of my life: my attraction to women. Maybe I can get over the fear and let myself love someone like I’ve always wanted to. Well, if she even allows me to do so.
