Abigail finally managed to get a divorce from her abusive husband Joseph Fremantle and retakes her maiden name. In the early 1900s, this was quite rare.
She decides to move to Wales, far away from Joseph and London, where she stays with family. There she hears a story about a girl who ran off from a bad father. She might be living in the nearby woods. Abigail sets her mind on trying to find that girl.
