The sad fact is that nobody in his cricket team really mourns Colin Myers' passing. He was neither a great player, nor a sparkling conversationalist. But when Jack Slater discovers that Myers had been living a double life, he, Jamie, and Kaitlin are drawn into investigating his apparent suicide. As the case goes on it becomes increasingly clear that beneath the innocent chocolate-box imagery of English village cricket lies an altogether darker truth waiting to be uncovered.
