Officer Emmy Moon is new to South Descent Police Department, and yet in her time there, she has made quite the stir. Having recently solved a massive local case, Emmy is admired by everyone around her-especially her new partner, Detective Eve Thirtyacre, who is filled with pride over Emmy’s growing success.

As they continue wrapping up the evidence in the Brian Michael Cook’s Gemini murders, a new case captures Emmy’s interest. A Jane Doe found in a local park becomes significant when Emmy realises that the victim is not only someone she knows, but a member of her family. Drawn back into the past, she must confront old demons and deal with them so that she can move forwards with her dream of becoming a detective. The deeper she gets into the case, the more her insecurities and traumas evolve.

With Eve by her side, Emmy must navigate her condition, her family and the case, while trying to maintain a working relationship with her partner. The trouble is, Emmy has begun to rely on Eve…and her feelings are growing, despite her best intentions to keep them at bay. Can Emmy let her heart learn to love again?
