On the run from an angry King after sleeping with the king’s husband, Rodney Langeton hits the road south with his two prized possessions. A chestnut stallion called Cranky, and a pair of fine leather riding boots that Rodney paid for with his expert oral skills. With a purse full of coin gifted from the very satisfied prince consort, and a love ‘em and ‘leave 'em attitude, Rodney is not prepared for his first sight of Prince Matthew Darrington dangling unconscious from his golden horse, in the neighbouring kingdom of Terith. Matthew isn’t prepared either. Not for discovering his kingdom isn’t what he thought, not for his lover to be accused of murder, and least of all for the roguish Rodney to capture his heart and drag him into a series of near catastrophes before finding his true place in his kingdom.
