“Who are you?” He breathed.
“I’m Mya, an Omega. This is Asher, Miles, Tony, Jason, and Lyle. We make up the Sunrise Pack. You?”
“I guess that depends on whether you want the truth or the person I portray to the public.”
I cocked my head. “Truth is always better.”
“Ryan Matthews. No pack. No bond.” He avoided eye contact and shrugged, trying to appear unbothered.
“Everyone thinks you’re an Alpha.”
He shrugged again. “Built like one.”
I snorted as I took in Tony standing next to him. “Maybe from across the room.”
I caught his smile and heard a huffed out laugh as he ducked his head.
“Yeah, well… I’m usually around children so to them it makes sense.”
“So… Beta?”
His eyes connected with mine again. “I wish.” He mumbled. “Would be a hell of a lot easier. How’d you even scent me? I’m on so many suppressants.”
“Suppressants don’t work on scent-sympathetic bonds.” Jason said. “Now… are we going to stand in a parking lot while you bleed all day or are you willing to come back to our house so we can bandage you up?”
“Sorry? You already have an Omega. An unbonded, unknown Omega stepping inside the house of a bonded pack… It will set her off. I’m not looking to die today.”
I laughed. “I scented you first. My Omega just wants you in her nest so I can take care of you.”
He quickly shook his head. “No nest. I don’t… I don’t do nests.”
A wounded noise left me as I stepped closer to him. “You’ve never had a nest?”
“No. I’ve been on suppressants for so long I don’t have that urge anymore or heats.” He shrugged like it was no big deal.
I growled and he flinched. “Well, we will have to fix that.”
“Easy, Mya. Let’s not overwhelm him.” Tony said, touching my back lightly. “So… our house?”
“I can’t. I have to go home and clean myself up and then I have to be at my studio in an hour. Final rehearsals for the teenagers before the recital tomorrow.”
Asher stepped up into him with a growl. “It’s my fault you crashed, if you think I am going to let you go home alone and take care of your wounds, you're wrong.”
I smiled when his pupils dilated and his breathing quickened. Showing he was just as affected by them as I was.
“O-okay. You can follow me home.”
Tony scoffed. “I’ll drive your bike. You can have my spot in the SUV.”
“NO!”
We all jumped and Ryan closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
“I mean… No, thank you. I’m fine and no one else is driving my bike and no offense but I really don’t feel comfortable riding in a car with all of you.”
“Okay! We will follow you!” I cut off the protests from the Alpha’s. “Would you care if we come to see your job, too? Maybe you can come over for dinner and we can all talk afterwards.”
His eyebrows furrowed. “I don’t understand what’s going on?”
He sucked in a breath as Asher pressed his torso against his and pushed his nose into his neck, even from where I was standing I could smell that he had started perfuming.
“That’s what’s going on. You’re ours, too.”
