Everyone has secrets, but some can be deadly...

This story takes place after The Jade Dragon (Death in Shanghai, book 1), but before Assassin's Hood (Death in Shanghai, book 2). The story contains only mild spoilers for the previous novel and can be read independently; but those wishing to avoid any spoiler at all may wish to read The Jade Dragon before reading "Deadly Secrets."

Art Jones, known to almost everyone in Shanghai as "Jonesy," never lets anyone boss him around. Not his superiors at the Associated Press, not the police, not dangerous thugs, and certainly not Soviet spies. But every choice has consequences... some of them deadly.
