The homeowner, Maria Cullen, insists she knows nothing about the gruesome discovery. As the daughter of infamous mob boss “Fat Sal” Marino, she’s no stranger to suspicion and she’s convinced someone planted the head in her house. While Ronan follows the living, psychic Tennyson Grimm listens to the dead. Six silent spirits appear at Maria’s bedside, their mouths sealed with duct tape, refusing—or unable—to speak. Are they victims of a brutal warning… or witnesses to something far darker?

When Maria’s ex-husband reveals a possible link to the decades-old Hatpin Hattie murders, Ronan realizes the frozen head may be the key to solving a thirty-year-old killing spree.

Now Ronan and Tennyson must uncover the truth before the past claims another victim.
