Three years ago, I escaped an abusive relationship, left town, and took my brother with me. I never looked back. After landing my dream job as an assistant to a high-powered CEO, life couldn’t get any better.

I know I shouldn’t flirt with my sexy-as-sin boss, but while everyone sees someone cold and calculating, I see Mavik Blackwood, the man with an intense stare that ignites my soul.

He's intoxicating. An addiction I can't seem to get enough of. And every time he denies the fiery passion that simmers between us, it fuels my obsession. He makes me feel safe, appreciated, and protected. He makes me feel seen, and I want to return the favor. Working for Mavik means I know everything about him. I see him.

Only the truth is, I don’t see everything. Until one night, I do. I see something so horrifying that I should run the other way. I can’t let history repeat itself.

Instead, I’m questioning good versus evil. My sanity and morals are being tested as I’m drawn into a world of forbidden desires. Mavik says we would never work because I’m the light while his soul is pure black, but it’s too late. I’m drawn to this dangerous, beautiful man and the darkness within.
