Magic exists in Openfields and everyone is addicted.

Adie’s life is filled with cameras watching her sleep, snide looks, and open hostility. No longer given access to the town’s magic, Adie is the ultimate pariah. Treading the path of a life she hates but can’t escape, Adie’s very existence is turned upside down when a murder is discovered and the truth of her home and her past unravels piece by piece.

Tala is called to Openfields in search of answers. Magic pulls at her, but the shiny veneer of Openfields doesn’t fool her for a second. When she uncovers the truth of the town, the leadership and responsibility she has always avoided lands on her shoulders. Now it’s up to her and her band of Misfits to find out who, or what, lies beyond the town and the subsequent chaos encountered.

Drawn to each other, can Adie and Tala survive their own grief and betrayals to find the answers and peace in each other’s arms.
