Chasity Montgomery, also known as Montie, was about to take an early retirement so she could travel and see the world. Little did she know her life was about to explode in the worst way. Her goddaughter was kidnapped and held for ransom.

Monti was beside herself with worry and when the FBI questioned her, she finagled her way into the investigation.

Right off the bat she clashed with Special Agent Bettye Tuggle’s by-the-book mentality. Can Montie and Bettye get beyond the clashes and find a way to work together in spite of their growing attraction to each other. Can they rescue Montie’s goddaughter in time?
