What does a woman do when her wife is taken hostage by terrorists? If the woman is Justice Girl—the righteous and powerful defender of the weak and powerless—she does everything she can to rescue her. Of course, Farrah Preston-Cross is not Justice Girl. She’s a risk analyst for Chase Bank, owns a house in a suburb of San Diego, mows her own lawn, and lives a typical—sometimes boring—life. She is simply cosplaying as Justice Girl as she and her wife Zinnia attend the San Diego Sci-fi and Comic Book Convention a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was supposed to be a day of fun with friends and fellow comic book and science fiction lovers. But when terrorists storm the new San Diego Convention Center and take approximately fifty people hostage, Farrah manages to barely avoid being captured also. However, her beloved wife, Zinnia, is one of the hostages, and with the police and the FBI unable to help, Farrah decides she cannot risk having the love of her life killed. She must do something.
