Overview

Corwin, a solitary necromancer exiled to the edge of the haunted Ghostwood, speaks to the dead not to command them, but to understand them. He’s made peace with his past—until the ghost of it returns in the form of Maltheon, his mentor long thought dead and now rising with plans to claim the throne by commanding an army of the undead.

Elric, a fiery hedge witch with a flair for chaos and an unshakable sense of justice, is sent to uncover the truth behind the spreading plague of death magic. He loathes necromancers—especially quiet, unreadable ones like Corwin. But when the threat proves darker than either imagined, working together becomes their only chance.

As cursed fog rolls across the kingdom and ancient graves begin to stir, Elric and Corwin must navigate a world unraveling at the seams—where danger comes cloaked in shadow, and so does desire.

Ashes and Embers is a slow burn, opposites attract fantasy romance between a necromancer and a witch. It features an age gap, mutual pining, and a happy ending.
