Overview

This is a book about four strong women fighting for a better world, while the one they are living in is far from being perfect. Of course, they are falling helplessly in love.

In a world torn by War and Diseases, Malinda must fight for her country and people. She is forced to face hundreds of foes, including the terrible General, a being made only of cruelty, who takes a particular pleasure in destroying Malinda’s Territory.

Malinda has one chance to save everything she has worked on for two decades; the Great Council, where she will be able to argue the case of the Western Territory with the other nobles and governors. If she were to fail, however, her life would be in terrible danger.

Malinda thus has to take the hardest decision of her life; let go of her dear beloved, a certain dark-haired woman with a sweet smile and kind eyes, to marry a man she does not even appreciate. Malinda thought that she would never see that woman again, her heart destroyed beyond reparation.

Life, though, has other plans for her.

Althea has always a simple sort of life.

Working in a Pub since the death of her parents, she has never complained about anything, or even dared to imagine a better life. When the young woman finds what appeared to be a corpse in the river of her village, though, everything changes all of a sudden.

The corpse of a young blond woman is, in fact, not so dead, and Althea finds herself thrown in an adventure of all danger. The blond woman, Elin, with her big blue eyes and innocent smile, has somehow succeeded to light a fire of curiosity that had never been in Althea’s heart before.

Had she known that this adventure would cause her so many troubles and so much pain, however, Althea might have kept her curiosity at bay, staying in the calmness of her village.

But well, life is made of experiences. It is just a shame that some of these experiences could kill her.
