Lane and I are trying out our new normal. Normal means no more car chases, no more drug lords, and definitely no more kidnapping bad guys. All of that is a thing of the past in this new normal(ish) lifestyle filled with family get-togethers and torturous jogs through the park.

I’m even done stealing (except for the cat).

I feel like I have stability for the first time in my life… until my brother comes calling. He wants to repair our relationship, but he brings with him a secret that could cost all of us our lives.

Of course Lane isn’t complaining because thrilling, life-threatening situations are right up his alley. Then, as soon as we feel like we have the situation under control, we realize that someone has been manipulating us from the shadows, forcing us to do exactly what he wants as he drives us closer to a sinister game of life and death.

But I will do anything, even be a pawn in some game, to protect the man I love.
